Beth George is the primary researcher and writer at Infinitives. She holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of Alberta, and has written projects for various clients, including government and non-profit organizations.

Beth’s diverse writing experience includes non-fiction articles, funding proposals, evaluations, policy review, program manuals, research papers, and editorial pieces. With a strong social research background at the managerial level, Beth specializes in addictions, parenting, evaluation, policing, and crime prevention issues.

She is sensitive to the needs of government and private sector clients, and takes pride in providing reliable, timely, and professional service.

Dave Klein is the editor and occasional co-writer at Infinitives. He holds a B.A. Applied degree in Professional Writing from MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta.

Originally from New York City, he has a diverse employment background, including many years as a computer support consultant at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street, and technical writing for an Edmonton division of General Electric.

Dave’s attention to the finer points of grammar and his commitment to clarity and concision are two of his professional passions. He has years of experience in substantive editing, copy editing, and proofreading. Over the past seven years, Dave has worked closely with Beth to provide clients with a polished and professional product.

Keep it simple! Many people believe using long, complicated words makes them sound smart or more professional; in truth, these words are usually impersonal, unclear, and unnecessarily complex. Here are some examples of better words to use when writing:
"Use", not "utilize"
"Person", not "individual"
"More", not "additional"
"So", not "consequently"
"Simple", not "uncomplicated"
