I have enjoyed working with Beth and Dave. They have always met deadlines and they write clearly and well. Any feedback I've had on a piece of writing, they have always integrated in timely and thorough fashion. I know that I am not alone here in that feedback.”

Audrey Whitson
Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission resource team supervisor

Beth and Dave’s writing skills are of the highest possible calibre and they possess the rare, and useful, quality of being able to fluidly adapt their writing style to suit any subject matter or task.”

Greg Tutty
veteran graphic designer

Beth George and Dave Klein became writing contractors for the agency and were hired repeatedly to work on several different types of projects. Their background in addictions provided them with the insights to understand the client and to know how the information would be received by any particular audience. They are talented writers whose style is clear, concise and appropriate to the audience. Often, very few edits were required in the work that they submitted and when they worked with the editors, they were helpful, cooperative and easy to work with. Beth and Dave worked well with the project consultants in the Unit and understood the pressures of meeting time lines and budgets. Their work was always completed according to the conditions of their contract and often they delivered their work ahead of time. They were favourite contractors among the team members because of their dedication to delivering good work and their values in working collaboratively and cooperatively with the staff. I would be confident in hiring Beth and Dave to work on many different types of projects.”

Carol Johns
former AADAC Resource Development and Marketing Unit manager

I was thrilled to have Beth George and Dave Klein on my Fund Raising Endeavour and Theatre Festival committee. Their natural ability to coordinate and complete tasks was truly amazing. Beth has many creative ideas and the motivation to take any project to another level. Dave is a genius when editing is required. They are a wonderful team.”

Writing Tips

When writing, it's usually best to "distill" your sentences so that they express your ideas in as few words as necessary.
For instance, consider the following sentence: "There is perhaps nothing that is more important right now than to recognize that there are distressing economic indicators which will be facing us for the months that follow."
This rather long-winded sentence can be written much more simply as: "We'll be facing hard times over the next few months."
